What do I think about this book?
I read this book because I wanted something different from what I always read.  And boy did this book deliver.  At first I did not know what to think about this books but I ended up loving it and cannot wait for the second one to come out. (Which hopefully is sooner rather than later.)  In this book, we follow a vampire who used to be a human but doesn't remember it.  We follow her risky journey of discovering the truth and we also follow her learning how to be a vampire.  Over all, I rate this book a 4 stars out of five.  A very good read!

Star of Bethlehem Cover Reveal

Book Description:

Jack and Lily have found each other. In this short holiday novella, Jack finally meets Lily's family and friends. And she tries to merge her life and her past with his.

On New Year's Eve, Jack and Lily look forward to the new year ahead of them. Join them as they start to grow together.

This is a part of the Flowering series and directly follows the events of Forget Me Not/Lily of the Valley. Another full length novel will come later as well.

Excerpt:

“I have a present for you,” she says.
“I told you. I want nothing but you.”
“I know, but I’m excited. First, though…”
“Yeah.”
This is terrifying. If I screw this up, it could ruin everything. We haven’t been together that long and although I am trying to trust in us, I wonder if Lily could stay with me if her parents hate me. What if they hate me?
She kisses me quickly on the lips and then on the tip of my nose. I somehow feel both ten and hungry for her. She’s still so amazing to me.
“They are going to love you,” she says.
“Then why are you so nervous?”
“What if you hate them?”

I hug her and breathe in her hair. “I could never hate anything that you are. We might come from totally different worlds, princess, but every part of you is beautiful.”

About the Author:

Sarah Daltry writes erotica and romance that ranges from sweet to steamy. She moves around a lot and has trouble committing to things. Lily of the Valley is her third full length novel, although she also has several story collections and two novellas available. Her other novels are Forget Me Not, the story that tells Lily’s version of events, and Bitter Fruits, which was available shortly, but is now in the contract phase with a major publisher. When Sarah isn’t writing, she tends to waste a lot of time checking Facebook for pictures of cats, shooting virtual zombies, and simply staring out the window.

He wants her to help him run a very special project: The Lotus. Can business and pleasure mix?

 One-liner:

A fashion model’s scandalous erotic odyssey continues in this sequel to Cult of Beauty: the Secret Life of a Supermodel, as Katie Wolfer battles with her step-sister and gets in deep with a decadent, French billionaire on a secret project: The Lotus.

Here is a teaser of the book:
I liked him too much. I wanted his hands on me. I wanted to his experience his body on mine, his penis, his mouth again. Like a drug addict, I craved him and his touch. I was just as bad as Caroline with cocaine, except for me this was the drug… love, seduction and transgression. It wasn’t just that I really liked this man and craved his touch and his delicious cock. I also really liked the feeling of doing something bad.
He put his drink down too and stood up. He was standing right in front of me and my head was at just the right height, staring at his zipper, at the enticing bulge that extended down his pant leg.
We stared at each other for a moment, both of us wordlessly checking in with each other, then he unbuckled his belt.”

What to say about this book?
First of all, I have been waiting very no so patiently for this to be release.  Cult of Beauty: The Secret Life of a Supermodel was super smoking and The  Lotus is just as hot if not hotter.  When I read this book, I did not know that there was going to be a THIRD in this series so K M Dylan needs to hurry up and write it cause I want to know what happens next.  In this book, you discover how adaptable Katie is after her stepfather dies.  There are some super hot and sexy choices and some choices that she should have thought about before she make it.  But, oh well, what can you do?  This is a five start read.

Who is K M Dylan?
K M Dylan is a former model turned author. She is half French, half American and lives in NYC.
Her introduction to erotica was from amazing classics her parents had hidden away. After reading books by Anais Nin, Emmanuelle Arsan and Pauline Reage's Story of O, she decided it was okay to experiment sexually, sometimes linked to a romantic relationship, and sometimes not. Ms Dylan's career in fashion together with her sexual exploration have provided inspirational material for her erotic writings. When she's not writing, she loves to collect art and travel.
For more information about K M Dylan and her novels, visit her Facebook author page at www.facebook.com/KMDylan

I also did a little interview with K M Dylan and this is what she had to say.....

What inspired you to write your first book?
I have dreamed of writing erotica for a long time. When I was a teenager, I found some erotic novels my parents had hidden away behind other books – they were mainly French authors such as Pauline Réage (The Story of O), Emmanuelle Arsan (Emmanuelle), and Anais Nin (Delta of Venus and Little Birds). They also had some Victorian erotica that was fun to read and at times quite shocking to an impressionable girl (Eveline by Anonymous). These books didn’t just provide me with delicious, arousing stories that I could read late at night under the covers while chasing the dragon—reading them was like getting on a plane to an exotic foreign land where lust and sensuality pervaded the character’s lives. The erotic journeys they depicted were not only sexy and fun, but also had a spiritual or philosophical dimension, and presented heightened experiences in comparison to hum drum real life. I guess most great fiction does that, but these also had tons of hot sex in them!
Reading these books, I learned that contrary to popular belief preached by parents and in romance novels, sex was not always about love (though at its best it often is), and that erotic experiences are among the most exciting adventures one can have in life. I decided that I would try not to live in fear of what other people might think if I did something naughty or out of the norm. But I had to find like-minded people and be willing to let go of fear of trying something new, or that someone might disapprove of me being a “bad girl” (Mom!).
When Fifty Shades of Grey exploded on the literary scene a couple of years ago, it seemed like all of sudden everyone was reading erotica. This meant that the stigma of either writing or reading it was evaporating, at which point I thought, wow, I have always wanted to write this stuff. I have had some pretty amazing experiences with various lovers, both men and women, and I figured there might be readers out there curious about what a fashion model’s sex life looked like, particularly one with loose morals like me J. Once I made the decision to do it, the story came easily and very quickly.

What books/authors have most influenced your life most?
On the erotic front, I have been deeply touched by the books I mentioned above by Pauline Reage, Emmanuelle Arsan and Anais Nin. Fifty Shades has been important in my life because it got me to start writing erotica. As far as “regular” books, in high school I read a memoir by a Swiss psychologist, C. G. Jung, called “Memories, Dreams and Reflections” that blew me away and presented a convincing case that the great transformational stages and stories of life are embedded in our unconscious and are communicated to us in our dreams, myths and fairytales.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
There’s a taboo element in Katie’s relationship with Victor, her main “love interest,” as they are cousins by marriage, and thus distantly related. I kind of wish that wasn’t there, and that that dynamic hadn’t been there with Daniel; but that’s just the way the story came out when I started writing. So there isn’t much I can do about that.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?
The hardest part of writing books is getting over my shyness about marketing myself and my book to strangers. When I was a model, I always had an agency and a booker pimping me J.

While you were writing, did you ever feel as if you were one of the characters?
I definitely feel like one of the characters when I’m writing… Like Katie, of course! Her thoughts are my thoughts, her reactions mine. Her erotic adventures have grown out of the kernels of my own sexual and romantic experience.

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character from your most recent book?
I really hope Cult of Beauty is made into a movie, and that Amanda Seyfried is cast as Katie, and Kristen Bell as Caroline, Bradley Cooper as Victor (but he’d have to work on a convincing French accent!). And how about either Johnny Depp or Simon Baker for Gavin? Oh, and Megan Fox for Natasha. George Clooney for Daniel would be pretty sweet! I would definitely be visiting the set A LOT! J.

What is your favorite positive saying?
“Keep your eyes on the road, and your hands upon the wheel…” I think that’s the start of a Doors song. J

What is your favorite book and why?
I spent several summers in my youth at a little chateau in France. Being there was like stepping into another era. There was no internet, not even a TV, and there were long summer evenings of just sitting outside, the adults would talk about books and French politics, and we would gorge ourselves on the most delicious homemade blackberry pie made from berries that we had picked that morning in the fields in front of this little castle. I didn’t care about calories back then. There was a copy of The Three Musketeers by Alexander Dumas on the bookshelf in my room. I read it a few times over those summers. The pages just turned themselves. That tale of swashbuckling rogues and gorgeous, seductive women involved in court intrigues reminds me of that magical time and place before life got really complicated.

If you were interviewing yourself, what are the top 3 questions you would ask yourself?
1)      Who does Katie look like? When I’m writing, I picture Katie as a cross between Kate Moss (hence her name) and Angela Lindvall, both of who are among the most stunning creatures on the planet, even now, and who have inspired me to no end.
2)      Do parties like those on the Lotus actually exist? Yes. I’ve been to a club in Paris and had sex in a room full of gorgeous people who were doing it too. I highly recommend the experience J.
3)        What about drugs? Your characters do quite a bit of them. Do you condone that? Absolutely not. Especially not coke, which I have seen wreck several of my friends’ lives. It’s just fun to fantasize about, just as it’s fun to watch Jason Bourne kill a bunch of bad guys. It doesn’t mean I’m going to buy a gun and start shooting people. It’s just a fantasy.

What book are you reading now?
I’m just starting “Lilly of the Valley” by Sarah Daltry. I love her writing style and the characters. And the sex is hot!

What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been the best compliment?
A reader gave me one star on Amazon for my first book, “Cult of Beauty: The Secret Life of a Supermodel,” and called my book “trash.” I have a secret fear that she’s right. My favorite review for the same book called it, “the future of erotica.” I hope she’s right!

Do you have anything specific you would like to share with your readers?

Just a little shameless self-pimping – I hope you enjoy The Lotus, Book Two of the Cult of Beauty Series, and evangelize about it to all your friends! J

If you're expecting a happily ever after, a white picket fence and 2.5 kids; then this isn't the story for you.

There aren't any happily ever afters in the works for me or those whose lives I poison.

I hold the key to my pleasure and I'll be damned if I ever give it up again.

God forsake those that stand in my way of ultimate gratification.

You may regret me, but you'll never forget me.

Use or Be Used, there are no other options.

** Warning ** 18 years and up for adult situations, language, sexual content, and violence. * This story contains dirty words, dirty sex and an even dirtier twist. **

What to say about this book?
I was a little confused about it.  It went from point A to point B without me knowing how it got there.  I would only rate this book three stars because of the steamy sex scenes.  Without any spoilers, I just don't know how describe this book.  When I finished it, I was like WTF?  Also it was super short and a very quick read.
